Stang's Pick of the Month
HEAVY LIQUID TP
In a future where New York has evolved into a sci-fi metropolis, "S," a man addicted to "heavy liquid," a substance that is both a drug and an art form, finds himself trapped in a mystery littered with love and drugs. This new edition features bonus sketch material, new coloring and more.
Paul Pope is not only a great artist but a great storyteller. This is just a good old fashioned mind bending sci fi romp that delivers a dose of crazy right into your cerebral cortex. Just don’t blame me for what happens to your head.
Shannon's Pick of the Month
Chew Vol. 1
Tony Chu is a detective with a secret. A weird secret. Tony Chu is Cibopathic, which means he gets psychic impressions from whatever he eats. It also means he a hell of a detective, as long as he doesn't mind nibbling on the corpse of a murder victim to figure out whodunit, and why. He's been brought on by the Special Crimes Division of the FDA, the most powerful law enforcement agency on the planet, to investigate their strangest, sickest, and most bizarre cases.
This is a quirky, one of a kind book that is intriguing/funny/disgusting all at the same time. It's one of the more original books that I've read.
